Make Data Collection Easy

For successful list building, you need to make the data collection process as simple as possible. Some people use squeeze pages, which are regarded as simple ways of collecting data and information. You need to figure out what headings or fonts might work for your squeeze page and how much information you can divulge in a very few words.

They are particularly helpful list building tools, especially if you are targeting someone who has read your article or your blog post. You can put the link at the bottom of the page, and if the readers click on the link, it will direct them to the squeeze page rather than to your website.

If your website contains too much or irrelevant information; the readers may not be able to make a decision. Some people use pop-ups for list building purposes. However, many netizens do not like this feature, and pop-up blockers are increasingly becoming popular. List building is not a very difficult exercise if you are resourceful, innovative, and work hard toward building a community out of your opt-in list. It is not enough to create an envious database of e-mails. Rather, you should work to make your opt-in list responsive and active.

One good way of ensuring the same is to make yourself available all the time and providing personalized attention for your opt-in community. Some people are content with auto response facilities but they will give you limited access to your customer’s mind-set.
