Your TITLE tag should clearly represent what your site is about. If you’re building a page that talks about your company’s products, the title should thoroughly reflect that topic. “Our Products” or “Product Listings” is a bad choice for a page title – people are probably going to be searching for your company by name or by the type of product you sell. Thus, using our website as an example: “Vancouver Web Design, SEO Vancouver, BC Web Design”. What ever business you are in, make sure your title tag reflects exactly who you are and what you do.

Also consider using keywords in your TITLE tag. For example, let’s say you’re selling real estate. You might want to make the title of your main page “Seattle Real Estate, Real Estate Agency in Seattle, Listing Homes, Property and Commercial listing for the Seattle Area!”

As you can see, this title gets right to the point about the topic of the page. It also uses your keyword: “Seattle Real Estate,” and more specifically “Real Estate Listings in Seattle” (twice). Someone searching for “Real Estate” is more likely to find YOUR page than a page titled “Homes For Sale.”

Step 2: Keywords aren’t just for META tags

Over the years, META tags have been hawked as “the” way to get good listings in the search engines. Early on, this was true – when META tags were first created in the HTML specifications, search engines put a lot of weight on them. Several years ago you could literally boost yourself to the top of the search results by including repetitive keywords in your META tags.

However, META tags have now become the most abused part of web pages. People routinely add META keywords to their page which have no relevance to their site’s topic. For example, many webmasters use META keywords like “pics” or “mp3″ even if their site has nothing to do with those categories. They’re hoping that people who search for hot topics will stumble across their page and stop by.

Those tactics do not work anymore. META tags now carry a surprisingly low weight in all of the popular search engines. What is important now is the overall content of your page. Search engines have algorithms (methods) for determining what your web pages are really about. These algorithms are closely-guarded secrets, for obvious reasons.

However, they all focus on one thing these days: the REAL content in your web page. If you create a web page about “The CompanyABC Business Opportunity” but include META keywords like “free pics” and “download music,” your site’s not going to be indexed under the topics you defined in your keywords. In fact, it might be rejected altogether!

Not only should you make sure that your META keywords tag appropriately reflects the content of your page, you should ensure that the text content of your page contains a good distribution of your keywords. Mention your company name often (and evenly) throughout your site.

For Example: “Our Company is the best company around. Imagine working at home and being your own boss – Our Company makes it possible! Your potential for earnings with Our Company is unlimited. Our Company allows you to sell as much as you want or as little as you want. The amount of money you make with Our Company depends on how much effort you put into your Our Company business.”

Using your company name strategically and through out your web page is going to get you much higher rankings when someone performs a search for Our Company. As you can see, the keyword (Our Company) is evenly distributed. Don’t try bunching up your keywords at the end of the page, that doesn’t work and may prevent you from being listed at all. You should concentrate on using keywords as part of your site’s content, and spreading them evenly throughout your text.

As you can see, these two steps are pretty simple. It’s all a matter of incorporating them into the design of your web pages – or redesigning your pages to fit, if your site is already live and submitted. There is never any guarantees that your website will end up #1 in the search results, but I do guarantee that if you follow these two steps you’ll achieve better overall rankings.

Above all else, avoid common spammer tactics like grouping keywords at the bottom of your page, or trying to “hide” keywords by making the text the same color as your page’s background. Search engines look for these methods and will often disqualify your page if they encounter what they think is spam.

Articles are meant to provide useful information that can positively influence people. We all like to read information that can add to our knowledge or that which can guide us in our daily lives. It is then for this very reason that in writing articles for the internet, we should strive to always keep our target readers in mind.

As a writer and business owner, your aim is to persuade people to believe in the message you are trying to communicate to them and to eventually take action. It’s similar to when you’re convincing a person to try a new and useful product which you have used yourself. The only difference is you’re applying your persuasion skills through writing and your focus is on sharing valuable information rather than the product itself.

To make sure that your article is persuasive enough, put yourself first in the shoes of your target audience. Find out what solutions you can provide to their problems or concerns at home or at work. You can start by asking a question in your article and then providing an answer at the end. Using questions are a popular way of capturing people’s attention.

As you come up with possible solutions, it would be great if you can give valuable tips and strategies. Your readers will appreciate them. Use headings for each tip and provide chunks of information. Another option is to use bullet points or number them if you like to improve readability.

Remember to avoid talking about any product in your article as much as possible because this may discourage your readers. No one likes to be sold to. You can weave your power of persuasion magic by writing information that people will find valuable in solving their problems. Think about this. Very few people will make a purchase right away. They need time to think about it.

The period that it takes them to make a decision is the perfect time to do the convincing. This is where your article should do the work.

For example, you run a hair salon business. You provide services related to hair care. But again, your article should share information on the more important aspects of hair care rather than talking about your business per se. Talk about the latest hair trends, hair styles, ways to enhance the health of a person’s hair and tips to avoid damaging the hair through constant bleaching and use of harsh products. People will then naturally see you as the expert and look to you when they decide to purchase.

You don’t need to be formal in writing your articles all the time. Write in the same manner as you’d use when speaking with a friend. Use simple English in order to get your message across and be easily understood by your readers. Add to this, you must make your articles as interesting as possible to capture attention.

Finally, don’t forget to include a captivating author bio at the end of your article. This will let your readers know that you are a genuine person whom they can turn to for valuable information should they need it and you’ll be top of mind when it comes time for them to buy.

One part of your internet marketing strategy is to brainstorm about web content ideas for articles (reviews, case studies, top-10s, how-tos), blogs, news, press releases, widgets, tools, UGC, web 2.0, linkbait, viral, SMM, podcasts, videos, photos.

How your specific keywords and keyword phrases are integrated into the copy, the headline, the meta tags and description are key to getting good rankings on the search engines for your articles.

As a network marketer, one method of communicating value to your readers is the publishing of keyword rich articles. Written words that educate, inspire, enlighten and otherwise impress the reader with your knowledge and wisdom. Writing SEO friendly articles is just one of several techniques in your marketing tool box.

Before you start writing about your selected topic, follow these key points so that your article is leveraged to the max and will not only be read, but linked to, ranked high on search engines and create a positive impression of who you are as the “expert” author.

Don’t be tempted to simply stuff your website with articles that you have acquired or cranked out in lightning speed. Your articles will overlook the important strategy of being SEO friendly to the search engine spiders.

Take the time to “optimize” your content using keyword phrases that you have researched before diving into the writing the content. Try also to write some of the content around the key words as well rather than just sprinkling them here and there.

These strategies will leverage the contents of the written words in your article for what it is designed to do: drive traffic to your sites and create a personal brand of you as the author.

A well written article and headline will not only catch the eyes and interest of your readers, but the search engines as well. Your headline should be relevant to your content. The headline is, in SEO terms, the title tag or really your main keyword phrase.

Don’t be afraid to have up to 70 characters. If possible, also provide a subheadline that has secondary keywords and leads the reader into the content or the body of text.

So here are the four factors to consider when writing SEO friendly keyword rich articles:

• Keywords and Keyword Phrases.

An article must always be focused on the keywords and keyword phrases. During your keyword analysis, ask yourself what would somebody be typing in the search engine to find information about writing articles for their website?

What problems would they probably have other than the actual task of writing an article? They would probably have to do keyword research so that their articles are picked up by the search engines right ? They would probably type in Search Engine Optimization or perhaps just SEO because they know that is important.

So get into the mind of the searcher as you develop your secondary keywords and use them within the articles as well as the primary keyword phrases.

• Keyword Density

Once you have your keywords and keyword combinations, you must use them as described above, in the headline, the sub headline, the meta tag and description box inside your blog control panel. If writing on a blog, take advantage of the keyword generator to be used as tags which assist the reader in locating other content on your site using similar keywords.

An article must have good keyword density. This is the number of times a keyword or keyword phrase is used on an article relative to the total word count of the article. For a search engine to “trigger” its response to your keywords, the rule of thumb is to have a density of no more than 5% in the body content for search engines to rank a site high in their search results.

Make sure the keyword density is not too high or too low. With too much density or repetition of terms, the essence of the article is lost and may turn off a reader as well as the search engines. The article will read as if you are merely stuffing it with keywords. Conversely, an article with virtually few keywords will be ignored by search engines.

• Article Content With Beef

Again, you cannot just sprinkle a bunch of keywords throughout the article. That’s like flavoring a stew with basil leafs and not bothering to take the leaves out before serving it. The content must be balanced with the keyword phrases and good relevant content.

Articles should keep the reader’s attention, be informative, perhaps entertaining as well, and must deliver on what the headline states. Make sure you give them useful, helpful information that is written well with correct spelling and proper grammar. If you want people to trust you, make your content SEO friendly, good and well thought out.

People respond well to figures, facts and statistics. Try to get great information and as many facts as you can. A good and well written article will boost your reputation as an expert in your chosen field or topic.

At the end of the article, you want them to feel like it was worth the time to read the article, that it was useful to them and make them look for additional articles you have created. this is when you lead them to take action. You now have their trust.

They believe that you have something of value to offer them which is more useful information and hopefully delivered in a witty manner they find compelling.

• Linking Articles

Depending on where you are posting your articles, always include a signature at the end with you’re your name, title, link to your main website, etc. If it’s in a blog, make sure the blog is set to allow comments at the end of the article and have an RSS feed link in case they want to subscribe to your posts.

Also set up the social media links so they can share. Add your Facebook and Twitter links so they can follow you. Cross link with any other websites that are relevant. Another way to include links is to hyperlink certain keywords within your content to outside URLs or other articles within your blog.

Search engines like backlinks as well. If you are in network marketing and the article is not posted on your blog site, just link them back to your blog rather than your direct affiliate corporate sponsor link (unless the article you wrote is directly related to either your opportunity or the product). Where can I find a list of permits that have been pulled for counties in florida (north and central)? List Building Campaigns With Autopilot Cash Formula

Do you already have a large list of 10,000 or more subscribers? If so, then you’re probably not going to get much by reading this. On the other hand, if you don’t, but have more than 6 months behind you with Internet marketing, you could well be making some of these list-building mistakes. Make a fix or two, and see your list expand.

- No opt-in. Do you have an opt-in? That’s a big list-building mistake if you don’t. Visitors to your page should have every opportunity to join your subscription list. Once they leave you page, they may never return, so the only way to show them your page again is to collect their name and email.

- No Landing page. A common building mistake – if the sole purpose of getting traffic for your website is to have them sign up for your offer, then you’ll quickly lose subscriber opportunities if they don’t come through a landing page first. The same applies if traffic’s coming to you from Adwords sites. If you have a gift incentive for them in exchange for subscribing, then you’re not permitting them to see your site without giving their details – missing this is a classic list-building mistake.

- Failing to target your lists properly. You need to have 5 lists of 200 people rather than one list of 10,000. This ensures your targets are more tightly focused. Do this and you will see your conversion rates increase dramatically.

- No relationship building. A huge mistake – sending a subscriber promotion after promotion when what they’ve actually subscribed for is more information, is an utter no-no. They can be forgiven for 1) not opening any more of your emails, and 2) Unsubscribing altogether. Relationship building is critical and vital. So se

- Failing to track your leads. Not so much of a mistake, as the dread – the dread of analytics. Are your leads all going to one page? If they are and you’re not tracking them, you’re turning a blind eye to information that will help you build and direct your campaign a lot more efficiently. You’re possibly financing your lead generation. You have multiple sources. Generally speaking you are happy with the cost of getting your leads. You need to be aware.

- It’s the same deal with time. Time spent building and nurturing sources. All that effort, and there’s every chance that you may not even realize that all your leads are coming from one source. How would you know? Can you imagine the results if all that effort was centered on just that one source?

- So you need to keep a keen eye on tracking email campaigns, which ones get opened, which get click throughs. This should reveal why you’re making money – or not. Conclusively, track and test all that you do and minimize your mistakes.

Article marketing. Writing articles like this one…and submitting to high ranking, high authority and well “trusted” directories. Use targeted keywords, but don’t over think it. Identify EXACTLY who it is that makes up your ideal list….and go after them with very specific articles that speak specifically to them. The closer you can get to the core ETHOS, needs and wants of your perfect audience, the more responsive your list will be…..PERIOD.

For example……

If THIS article was written for life coaches, I would simply make the title – “list building for life coaches”. I promise you, with that extra layer of specificity, I’m going to get FEWER opt in’s, but a much higher percentage of people who are very specifically segmented to what I’m ultimately going to offer, if that was my niche. (it’s not..:-)

So write articles. Be HYPER specific….and your list will be hyper responsive in return. And be aggressive….both in building value, mailing your list AND building relationships with the small percentage of the overall list that is engaged with your content. (you CAN make a fortune with nothing else…..I promise!)
